Hello to all staff members in the Moira School Group; Deseronto, Harry J. Clarke, Queen E. Belleville and Queen Victoria.

My name is Theresa Pallett and I am your Learning Partner for the school year 2014-2015. For those of you who know me, it will be wonderful to see you again and for those of you who don’t, I look forward to getting to know you.

Since I am a new to the Learning Partner role, I believe it is important for you to know a little bit about me both personally and professionally. First, I am a proud mother to our twins; Juliana and Mason, who are in SK at Stirling Public School. Secondly, I am a wife to my husband, Matt who is a millwright and a shift worker. Last but not least, I am a passionate and dedicated classroom teacher for 15 years beginning my career in Tweed, moving to College St. Trenton, then to Colombia South America for two years, I continued my career at Prince of Wales for the past 7 years and last year was my first year in the LP role.

As a Learning Partner, I believe it is essential to build positive, trusting relationships in which WE collaboratively work together towards a shared vision of improved student achievement with a growth mindset. Identifying urgent student needs across the school through School Improvement Planning and implementing high yield strategies along with assessment FOR learning will create high standards of expectations and create conditions for student success.

I am excited about my role and I am eager to work along side each one of you so we can learn and grow together. If there is anything you need from me, please do not hesitate to contact me at tcrain@hpedsb.on.ca. I check email frequently and I will be more than happy to support you and your learning journey in any way that I can. Feel free to access my blog that I have created to help you to feel supported even when I am not in your school building. tpallett.blogspot.ca

Theresa :)
